We’re growing fast and looking for a Marketing & Growth Manager to take our Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy to the next level! In this role, you’ll drive demand, optimize acquisition channels, and build an engaged technical community of data professionals, engineers, and industry leaders. Your mission? About the position
Language
The official company language is English (knowledge base and documents), so high proficiency is required. The company is located and operates in Italy, being fluent in the Italian language is a big plus.
Location
This is a full-time position based in Milan, Italy, with the possibility to work remotely a few days per month.
Responsibilities
As a Marketing & Growth Manager, you will be responsible for unlocking and scaling our PLG motion through strategic demand generation, inbound marketing, and community-led growth initiatives. You will design and execute data-driven campaigns, optimize conversion funnels, and position Hiop as the go-to platform for data engineering & AI professionals. This is a high-impact role where you will collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to acquire, activate, and retain users efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
📢 Community Building
Develop and scale a vibrant tech & data community
Engageon key digital channels (i.e. LinkedIn, Reddit, Discord, Slack…).
Drive content strategy with blog posts, press coverage, demos, whitepapers, case studies, and tech talks to establish authority.
Organize and attend in-person tech community events, meetups, and conferences to strengthen engagement.
Launch and manage webinars, meetups, and online events to engage engineers, data scientists, and industry leaders.
Partner with vertical influencers, industry experts, and technical evangelists to boost brand awareness.
📈 Demand Generation & Growth
Build and execute a scalable demand generation strategy, defining key channels and playbooks for inbound marketing.
Develop and execute full-funnel marketing strategies (TOFU → MOFU → BOFU) with a strong focus on brand positioning and lead generation.
Own and implement multi-channel demand generation activities (SEO, paid ads, partnerships) to drive lead flow from both Italian and international markets.
Implement and refine marketing automation & lead nurturing flows (email sequences, retargeting,…)
Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize marketing KPIs (CAC, LTV, pipeline contribution, conversion rates).
Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to design and launch strategies for self-serve onboarding, activation, and lead conversion, including in-platform tutorials, chatbots, free trials, and PQL flows.
What are the essential requirements and skills?
A degree in marketing, business, or related fields.
2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, growth, or demand generation roles.
Experience in Content Creation combined with a solid understanding of technology and the tech market landscape.
Experience in community engagement and developer marketing.
Results-oriented approach, exceptional communication skills, and strong teamwork capabilities.
Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
Flexible, Proactive, Analytical mindset.
💡 Nice-to-Have
➕ Previous experience growing a technical SaaS product (data engineering, AI, or dev tools).
➕ Experience working with open-source communities.
➕ Hands-on experience with performance marketing (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, SEO, and paid acquisition), funnel optimization and lead nurturing
